OUR FIRST DATE
We meet at the Irvine Spectrum for our first date. Joseph planned a dinner at an Asian fusion restaurant, Urban Seoul. After an engaging dinner, Joseph and Karina went for an evening stroll to enjoy one another's company.
Karina was drawn in by Joseph’s sweet personality and smarts. He was unlike any other guy she had dated. While his fashion sense wasn’t all there, Karina saw there was a good enough foundation for her to work with.
Joseph had found Karina to be very quiet across evening as he had done most of the talking. Little did he know, that would be the last time he would ever get such peace. Across that evening Joseph found himself swept by Karina's beauty and calm attitude. Both couldn’t be more excited to meet again.
THE PROPOSAL
After dating for three and a half years, Joseph popped the question to Karina on New Years Eve. He arranged a family game night, and Joseph casually mentioned to Karina to bring Guesstures, a charades game. He told Karina to invite her family for some home-cooked Ethiopian food, a sure way to ensure her family would show up.
With both Karina and Joseph’s family together, they began to play Guesstures. On Joseph’s turn, he acted out his first word, relax, and then got on one knee pretending to tie his shoe. He then pulled out a ring box and proposed to Karina.
